Obituary of Andrew Fred Murfitt

Please share a memory of Andrew to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Andrew Fred Murfitt was born on December 2, 1987 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to proud parents, Gordon and Luann Murfitt. Together, they moved to a few different places before they decided to settle in Macklin and call it home. This is where Andrew met some lifelong friends and found multiple hobbies he enjoyed such as, wood working and tinkering on engines and go carts. He was a part of the Macklin 601 Squadron for 4 years. He did basic training and survival camps which helped him learn the skills he needed for the love of the outdoors. Andrew held several different passions through his adult life; E & L Construction, oilfield, snow removal and line painting in Lloydminster, just to name a few. He was always trying to make people happy, smile and laugh. Andrew had a laugh like no other. You could be in another room and hear it and just bust a gut. Not even knowing what was making him laugh. He was kind and genuine. He would give you the shirt off his back if someone needed it. Unfortunately, Andrew passed away suddenly on February 23, 2020 in Lloydminster, Alberta at the age of 32 years. He will be forever missed and loved by his parents, Gordon and Luann Murfitt; sister, Laura Murfitt; brothers, Matthew Murfitt (Nelina Babb) and Josh Murfitt (Dakota Mahoney); grandmother’s, Rose Murfitt and Linda Bruvold; great grandmother, Berna Johnson; uncles and aunts, Freddy (Brenda) Bruvold, Michael Bruvold, Joanne Couillard, Keith Murfitt and Dale Murfitt; as well as numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. Andrew was predeceased by his grandfather’s, Kenneth Murfitt and Alfred Bruvold; uncle, Russel Bruvold; and cousin, Jessica Couillard. Andrew will be missed but never forgotten. Keep your memories of Andrew close, remember him for the caring, loving and compassionate man he was.
