To the Gartner Family, Aunt Augusta was a beautiful woman, so full of life and had such a big heart. I am thankful that she was so close to my mom and dad. Miss those get togethers so much. To Augusta’s family. Your mother was the epitome of kindness and grace. Even when she had pain she was always concerned about bothering others and always looking out for her family. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Even though she was with us a short time I felt blessed to have taken care of her.

In January of 1989, I began my teaching career in Macklin. I was fortunate to rent a basement suite and have Ronald and Augusta living above me. Augusta was very generous with her baked goods and there were numerous times she'd bring me homemade soup and buns to nurse me back to health when I had a cold. She was strong in her faith and loved her family immensely. She will be missed but not forgotten.
