On behalf of the Herron family, we announce the passing of Douglas Herron.

Doug passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 72 years.

Known for his quiet strength, Doug was deeply devoted to his loved ones. He is survived by his caring wife, Della; son, James (Amy) Herron of Crossfield; stepdaughter, Adrianne Nogier (Jason) of Okotoks; stepson, Dean (Pearl) Jones of Medicine Hat; and stepdaughter Vicky (Kyle) Forsberg of Sylvan Lake. Doug was the proud Grandpa to seven grandchildren; Matthew (Camryn), Averie (Treydon) and Kate Herron; Brenna and Rowan Forsberg; and Tristan and Ella Nogier. Doug also leaves behind his brother, Roger (Barb) Herron of Beaumont as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Doug was predeceased by his son, Tyler; parents Wilfred, Phyllis, stepmom Oliva; twin sister Shiela; siblings Winnifred, Gerald and Leone; and first wife Marlene and her husband, John.

Family and friends are invited to join for a funeral for Doug on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at the Czar Rec. and Culture Centre.

Following the service, Doug's family invites you to join them for a time of fellowship and refreshments in the Czar Hall.
